Leadership Barry County is designed to enhance leadership skills for individual growth, organizational improvement and increased community effectiveness.
Objectives: To understand shared leadership and leadership styles, To gain knowledge and understanding of our community, To know how to affect public policy, To understand how to function in changing organizations, and To comprehend political and financial structures of the community.
'Growing
up in a leadership organization, the Hastings Jaycess, I thought there wasn't too much
more I had to learn about leadership. But when I became a part of the Leadership Barry
County Class of 2003, I found out I was wrong. Leadership Barry County provided me
with not only additional leadership skills but with a real knowledge about the community
in which I grew up in. Leadership Barry County is about linking leaders and through
my involvement, I have gained new friendships and an opportunity to network in a way that
I might not have been able to without my graduation from Leadership Barry County.'
