MISSION:

The mission of the economic development of Barry County is to promote and pursue activities which will create both public and private revenues, employment opportunities, and business development consistent with the preservation of the rural quality of life.

This mission is accomplished through:

§          Coordination between all governmental units

§          Collaboration/joint venture between governmental units

§          Locally directed economic development through local government’s land use plans

§          Aggressive marketing

§          Effort’s governance is determined by representatives of all shareholders

PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

The primary results from this effort will be a variety of services which will supplement the local governmental units efforts in managing growth and development in addition to providing the support that will cause new business and industry to locate in Barry County plus insuring that existing business/industry can be retained and expand.  Products will primarily be the economic development of each local governmental units land use plan.
